Hi my name is Lorena. I am a Special Ed Preschool Teacher.
I started working with special education students in 2001.
I have a BA in Comm. Disorders, a credential and a MA in Early Childhood Special Ed, and a second MA in Teaching with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education.

umbrellas and rainbows.....
This was a three day projects.
Day 1 -
have students cut a white plate in half
prep work - draw a line with a marker on a white paper plate
After plate is cut have each child paint both halves, one blue, the other any other color
Day 2 -
Students will lace raindrops into the plate
depending on your students ability use yarn or pipe cleaners
Day 3 -
make rainbows with the other half the plate
prep work - cut strips of each color of the rainbow
have students pick each color as the sequence goes (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
you can either glue or tape the strips to the back of the plate
to finish glue cotton balls on the plate to look like a cloud
the pictures are of the sample, however; i had the students count to 6 or 7
and that is the amount of Cotton balls they used
